The Challenge Competitor Public Rankings

Hello! With The Challenge Chronicles recent episodes detailing the top male and female competitors of all time, I’ve compiled the public results and included them below. The results were determined through a survey distributed through Twitter, Reddit, Medium, Podcasts, YouTube, and a variety of other sources. There was a total of 2.1K inputs across the surveys, which consisted of sixty total competitors of each gender. The criteria for the survey included:

o All competitors who appeared on a season between Inferno II and Final Reckoning will appear on the survey.

o Rankings should be based on if you were picking men to fill a team for a season of the show. As a result, entertainment value and individual political ability should be factored out.

o Each competitor should be evaluated at its peak season. The overall body of work of a competitor should only factor in as to how they would perform in that peak season.

o If you are unopinionated on a competitor, feel free to leave it blank and just move on. Unanswered ratings won’t count towards the overall score for that competitor.

o As a general rule, a 10 would imply one of the best 2–3 competitors of all time; a 9 would be top 3–6, an 8 would be top 6–10; a 7 would be top 10–15; etc.

The average score for each competitor surveyed is displayed below.

Female Competitor Rankings Average

From the female side, a few things stuck out. I would have Evelyn as the clear number one, considering she stands out as having no clear weaknesses while Emily doesn't quite have the track record of finals ability or a mental game that Evelyn does. Smashley also seems way too low, with her unique capabilities to do puzzles and politic I’d have her significantly higher.

Male Competitors Rankings Average

The male rankings make a bit more sense to me, but there are still some oversights in my opinion. Kenny seems much too high for my tastes, he was able to thrive in an era where he could take control rather easily but was mostly able to just sit on his numbers and never actually go to elimination. Even someone such as Joss or Brad I would have over Kenny in a team setting. I also understand that people may not like Chet, but he actually to me is an underrated competitor considering how well he performed on Battle Of The Seasons.

I’ve included podcast discussions with Pat Mayo of the Pat Mayo Experience on Draftkings for the female side and Logan Heidrich of the Heidrich Files Podcast on the male side. Thanks for reading!
