Rumored Format

o Cast members are in co-ed pairs, with individual eliminations. Since pairs are split up in eliminations, they can switch partners throughout the season.

Extra Notes:

o Obviously, some massive missing names from this cast; notably John Devenanzio (Bananas). Johnny had been on twelve consecutive seasons and had parlayed the show to a job with NBC’s First Look. Rumors were abounded about a possible “retirement” or circumstances clouding his win on The Challenge: Total Madness; but perhaps the most likely reason for his absence is scheduling conflicts with First Look. Jennifer West is also now being reported as not present, despite winning the previous season. Other notable absences include Cara Maria Sorbello, Paul Calafiore, Turabi Camkiran, Theo Campbell, and Hunter Barfield; all of whom have been off for a few seasons now despite their popularity; as well as Stephen Bear, Jordan Wiseley, Mattie Lynn Breaux, Rogan O’Conner, Georgia Harrison, and Natalie Duran; who have rumors of off-screen actions leading to not being on the cast.

o Overall, very excited to see this format and cast. I’ve long held the belief that teams of four or co-ed pairs are the optimal way to do a season of The Challenge; and the switching teams twist should keep things interesting. I also really appreciate the freshness of this cast. Veterans like Darrell and Theresa combined with high profile debuts Lolo and Natalie mixed in with a unique blend of regulars should make for a compelling season.
