The episode starts with Nany complaining about her situation in the game (shocker) before getting to Tori and Jordan talking to CT. Tori is asking if even if they win, she’ll be thrown in, and they essentially confirm those suspicions. She leaves unhappily, and we head to the mission.

The Mine The Cart Mission

The mission is called Mine The Cart. Each team has to pull themselves along a mine cart via a rope back and forth, collecting medallions. Another player on the team swims to grab a saw and saw through the rope, dropping the opposing pair in the Mine Cart.

Cara Maria Swimming.

The mission is pretty weirdly set up, and it allows Jordan to swim three times. The first heat is off, with Kam and Paulie in the cart for the US with Smashley swimming and Tori and Rogan in the cart for the UK with Jordan swimming. Jordan kills Smashley in the swim, and the UK gets a sizable lead. Next round it’s Jordan and Dee in the cart and Jordan swimming versus Leroy and Nany in the cart and Cara Maria swimming. Cara actually does decently, but Jordan is too much too for the US to handle and beats her pretty convincingly. Rogan and Tori with Jordan swimming are up against Ninja and Zach with Cara swimming and again Jordan wins by a considerable amount giving the UK the win.

The players splashing into the water.

TJ tells the US they have to nominate a female for elimination, and they have to do it now. Leroy votes for Ninja, but after that everything goes chalk and Nany is voted into elimination. CT makes a power move and makes the Tribunal himself, Rogan, and Tori. CT votes for Ninja while Rogan and Tori vote for Smashley, putting the two-time champ in elimination. Smashley has a mini-meltdown, and TJ announces that the finale is next, and this elimination will be a secret one and the winner will be sent to the compound later.

Team UK awaiting the results.

The power alliance is a little lukewarm with Paulie and Cara pissed about CT turning on their alliance. Paulie is interrogating Rogan about his involvement, but he denies being involved. Rogan and CT talk it out, and CT seems satisfied with his decision.

Nany running through the jungle.

We get to the elimination, entitled Run For Your Life. In this elimination, the players have to run to a variety of boxes and retrieve puzzle pieces. Each player can only take two puzzle pieces at once. They then have to run up a hill and solve a puzzle. First to solve the puzzle wins. Smashley has a sight lead on Nany, but nothing overly significant. Smashley actually pulls a Natalie Negrotti and gets lost. Nany also gets lost but instead of in the jungle it’s in her own head and seems to have no idea what she is doing on the puzzle. Smashley gets back to the puzzle and solves it in about twenty seconds, getting the win. Smashley is given the option to turncoat and seems to be really contemplating.

Zach at the bar.

Smashley returns to the house and is greeted by her alliance, and announces she stayed with Team US. The house heads out to the bar and chills before the final. Paulie is talking to Cara about the game and says nobody has done what he has in his first three seasons. I’m not even sure Paulie falls into the top ten of initial three-season stretches so far, but the man is nothing if not for his ego. After that, the episode concludes, and we prep for the final.

Eliminated

Nany: It felt like Nany didn’t have much of a character this season besides being in the middle of Kamroy and complaining about the state of her team. Disappointing overall for a competitor with a strong return last season, but hopefully, she can rebound.

Final Predictions

No power rankings needed here as we have reached the final. Team finals tend to be incredibly random, with many occurrences of the better team throughout the season losing. Overall, I tend to lean towards minimizing downside as being the most important factor and since the UK has fewer players and overall the best competitor remaining, I would give them a slight edge headed into the final.
