The episode opens with the Burger King fest for Kyle and his three ladies; Da’Vonne, Nany, and Mattie. They all are very excited about the food and happy to take in the food. Kyle leaves a Whopper for Wes, who seem to still be on good terms.

Paulie, however, is not happy about this. Paulie is talking with Kyle, Cara Maria, Georgia, and Ninja about Wes working with Kyle. To be honest, I haven’t seen significant evidence of Wes going out of his way to save Kyle, it seems to me they are just friends more than anything. Wes and Paulie don’t seem to come to many resolutions, but Wes says he’ll try to do some damage control later.

Wes and Nany are talking over some food. Wes says everyone in the house is on super anxious because towards the end of the season, things get sketchier and a lot of people aren’t used to it. Nany asks Wes where she falls on his alliance ladder, but he deflects it for the most part but seems to acknowledge she has a spot towards the top of the totem pole.

This takes us to the mission for the episode, entitled Highway to Hell. The mission has the competitors sit in an eco-friendly vehicle as it does double figure eights around a small desert track. The competitor has to put together a slide puzzle as they are in the vehicle. The competitors with the three shortest times get in the Tribunal for the event.

Entertaining but long mission this week. It made for some great cinematography, but overall was a bit drawn out and I didn’t find it particularly entertaining to watch. The tribunal ends up as Wes, Dee, and Mattie. Paulie, Cara Maria, Nany, and Ninja also completed the puzzle.

This takes us to the tribunal meeting between Wes, Dee, and Ninja; or as Wes called it “Wes and his Angels.” Mattie wants Cara Maria since she has been gunning for her all season but is also a strong competitor, while Dee proposes they put in Nany, Cara Maria, and Da’Vonne. Wes convinces them to put in Georgia instead of Nany due to the fact Georgia is one of the best runners in the house and a legitimate threat in the final.

Afterward, Nany and Cara Maria are the kitchen and Nany is asking Cara Maria if they have a deal still. Cara says it will be on a case by case basis, and she isn’t safe depending on how the cards fall. This prompts an argument between the two with Da’Vonne looking on. It’s a complicated situation here, but as Wes pointed out earlier things get tighter politically as the game comes to an end and Nany has already voted in a veteran when she picked CT so I can see why both are walking on eggshells.

We get to the Tribunal Ceremony for the episode, with Georgia up first. Wes asks her if she is willing to not say any of their names next time she is in the Tribunal, and she responds positively and shakes on the deal. Da’Vonne is next, and Wes makes her the same offer. She says no and makes a counter-proposal of the four of them keeping each other safe moving forward, to which Wes declines and sends Da’Vonne on her way. While’s Da’Vonne’s version seemed to be more long term, I’m not sure what made their two proposals all that different and was kind of surprised Wes didn’t take it at least for now. Cara Maria comes in, and Wes asks her if she can not only keep them safe if given the opportunity but also get Paulie to agree to do so as well. She says she can and leaves the Tribunal to go speak to Paulie.

Cara Maria talks to Paulie and he is still hung up on the fact that Wes has been protecting Kyle. They argue back and forth about it for a bit, and Cara convinces Paulie to talk to Wes. They cuddle and makeup before we move to another side of the house where Mattie and Nany are. Nany tells Mattie that Cara used to be the nicest person in the world and has now lost her mind.

After this, we head to the bar where the three tribunal girls Georgia, Cara Maria, and Da’Vonne are talking. Da’Vonne says Wes has been making a lot of deals around the house, and that a lot of people who have been making deals with him are gone. I haven’t seen any real evidence of Wes’ allies being launched, and the only people so far who seemed to be allied with Wes and have since been launched were Negrotti/JP and Kam/Cain; and both of them were just called into elimination by someone already in it and not actually flipped on by Wes and his allies. Cara leaves the table, and Georgia and Da’Vonne both surmise she is going to take Wes’ deal. Da’Vonne tells Georgia that she calls Wes “Rumpelstiltskin” due to the number of deals he makes, and Georgia seems convinced to break things off with Wes.

Once they get back to the house, Georgia asks if she can speak with Wes. Georgia says she feels guilty and Wes has sent Bear home and manipulated a lot of the house, so she wants to retract her deal with him. Wes says he has been allied with her the whole game and they haven’t had any issues to this point, so he doesn’t get why she doesn’t want to align with him. I’m not quite sure why Georgia is so hesitant to align with Wes, perhaps it is just loyalty to Bear but when she and Hunter were aligned with Wes they pretty much ran the game and I haven’t seen any evidence really recently or especially this season of Wes turning on any of his allies and it isn’t as if Georgia can’t break her deal with Wes after he keeps her safe for a week.

Wes awaiting Paulie and Cara Maria.

We move to another part of the house where Wes slips a note to Cara Maria and Paulie asking them to meet in the pool room. Wes tells Paulie and Cara that he knows they all want to work together and that while their faces may not say it their actions do. Wes says he also represents Dee and Mattie, and if they accept the deal all five of them will keep each other safe. Nany and Kyle and talking outside, and Nany appears to be getting ready for elimination. Cara Maria talks with Dee and Mattie, and Cara says she will give them both a pass if they don’t call her out now. Mattie says she would rather go against the best then not go at all, and the three of them seem to be on the same page.

The cast emerging onto the Killing Floor.

We get to the Killing Floor, and there are two chairs set out there. We get to the voting for the episode, and Mattie leads off by voting for Georgia. Dee is next, and she votes for Da’Vonne. Wes says Georgia is the best runner and votes for her. This sends Georgia to the Killing Floor and ends the episode there.

Power Rankings

13) Georgia: Georgia has been my favorite of the prospects this season and I hope she becomes one of the faces of the show moving forward, but her inexperience really showed this episode. Not a good move to rescind an alliance with someone who you have been allied with all season and is in control of the game at the time, but she’ll learn moving forward and I don’t doubt she’ll be able to pull out this elimination win as well.

12) Nany: She seems by far the most likely to be called out by Georgia and I would favor Georgia in most events.

11) Da’Vonne: I’m not sure if she was intentionally trying to throw Georgia under the bus as the two have appeared to be friendly throughout the season, but regardless of what she was trying to do I doubt Georgia calls her out and she’ll still be sticking around for another few weeks which is impressive considering she has seemed to be on edge for a while now.

10) Kyle: He’s performed very well this season, but I think Kyle this he is in an alliance with Wes and Hunter much more than Wes and Hunter think he is an alliance with Wes and Hunter and without them his political situation looks much less favorable.

9) Theo: Competitively, he’s been about as good as advertised but with Wes reaffirming his alliance with Cara and Paulie he’s seeming like the odd man out politically and if he’s not making tribunals, I think he is in trouble.

8) Dee: She’s safe for this week and has a good house of allies built up, but I think her overall winning potential is lower than everybody above her putting her in this spot.

7) Ninja: She has probably the second highest likelihood of getting called in which pushes her down a tad but the fact she wasn’t even really brought up for elimination confirms her position.

6) Hunter: I could be a tad too high on Hunter, as his lack of puzzles and cardio could kill his chances. However, he still seems to be in a good spot politically as one would assume he’s a package deal with Wes and is still a monster in any physical elimination.

5) Mattie: She’s impressed massively athletically and now that she has solidified her alliances looks set up very well to make the final.

4) Cara Maria: I think her competitive foibles this season are largely overblown, and her political situation looks pretty pristine provided someone from the Da’Vonne/Kyle block gets power she should be clean.

3) Turbo: He was quiet this episode but still could be the best overall physical competitor in the house.

2) Paulie: He’s been pretty outstanding competitively and now has a pretty solid stable of allies as well.

1) Wes: People have been accosting me for having Wes at number one, but frankly I don’t see many situations where ends up in elimination and I trust his experience to carry him forward to the final.
