The episode opens with Wes and Dee returning from their elimination win. Some of the guys point out how a champion has gone home every elimination, making the top dogs at risk. Elsewhere, we see Bear starting to cozy up to Nany. Bear makes his attraction to Nany pretty apparent, regardless of his relationship with Georgia. Bear also lives with a girlfriend back at home, putting him in hot water in multiple fronts here. Theo and Kam also are sparking a relationship, much to the chagrin of Leroy.

Hunter making his way across the tires.

We get to the mission for the episode, entitled Doom Buggy. Competitors have to climb across a set of tires being driven behind a monster truck. Each tire has a ripcord which will release the tire behind it. If the competitor is able to get to the monster truck, they pull a cord which will release all the tires including the ones their competitor is on.

Wes pulling the cord to release the tires.

The results for the mission are as follows:

Paulie 10 + Ninja 0 = 10

Cara Maria 3 + Theo 8 = 11

Wes 10 + Dee 2 = 12

Leroy 3 + Shaleen 2 = 5

Kam 1 + Cain 6 = 7

Da’Vonne 2 + Bear 7 = 9

Hunter 10 + Georgia 2 = 12

Nany 5 + Turbo 3 = 8

Jenna 1 + Gus 3 = 4

Amanda 0 + Josh 0 = 0

Kyle 10 + Mattie 1 = 11

Dee diving onto the next tire.

This one seemed crazy difficult, so big props to everyone who finished all ten. Wes, in particular, was impressive, as he barely seemed tired upon finishing. Nany turned in a super strong performance for the women’s side, while Turbo and Ninja actually disappointed a bit for the first time in a while. Wes/Dee, Hunter/Georgia, and Kyle/Mattie end up as the tribunal for the episode (Kyle/Mattie beat Cara Maria/Theo on a time tiebreaker.)

The tribunal meeting.

The tribunal meeting commences. Immediately Kyle announces his intention to (no surprise) vote for Paulie and Ninja. Georgia actually seems to agree with him, but Hunter makes the point there are still teams they could call out that they could beat easily and then that would give them the relic to stay around for another week. Wes tells Georgia he wants to vote for Bear, and Hunter says that is what he wants to do as well. Wes tells Georgia that Bear said he is more into Nany than her. Georgia is clearly upset by this, but also seems to not believe it fully. Hunter ends up grabbing Amanda and Josh as the third team, setting up the tribunal.

Hunter comforting Georgia.

In between the meeting and the ceremony, Georgia is crying in the bathroom as Hunter comforts her. Da’Vonne and Amanda come over, and after Da’Vonne figures out what happened she runs over to Bear to inform him. Bear tells Georgia he didn’t say that, and they proceed on as normal.

Bear is not pleased with Wes.

The tribunal ceremony opens, and Paulie and Ninja are first. Paulie and Kyle have some back and forth and seem to be having fun more than anything. I honestly wouldn’t past them to have some unspoken agreement where they keep putting each other up to keep the heat off of them and let everyone else find different rivals to go after. Amanda and Josh are next, and they yell with Hunter and Georgia for a hot second but not much happens there either. Da’Vonne and Bear come in, Bear threatens Wes and Dee, and that’s about it.

The group entering the club.

After this, we actually get a club scene for the episode. I have no idea how long they drove to get there, but they did find a club in Namibia. Leroy calls Kam over from flirting with Theo to talk to him. Leroy and Kam discuss things and seem to end the conversation cordially. On a different side of the bar, Nany and Hunter are talking things over. Nany is trying to convince Hunter to send in a Brit, then they start dancing and flirting. One major question I have here: Why didn’t Nany tell Hunter and Georgia about Bear? Nany clearly wants to see the Brits split up, and if she tells Hunter and Georgia that Bear was flirting with her it would be pretty hard to deny and would really drive a major wedge between the UK alliance.

Kam and Leroy arguing.

Theo and Kam start making out in a different side of the bar, which Nany points out to Leroy. They get back from the bar, and Leroy is not pleased. He and Kam start arguing in front of the whole house. It starts to become a bit of a scene, then Leroy and Kam move into a different room before the argument ends. Leroy goes back to his room where Da’Vonne, Shaleen, and Mattie are and rants to them. Leroy eventually goes to bed, setting up the Killing Floor.

Dee chirping at Bear.

At the Killing Floor, TJ asks for the votes. Mattie and Kyle both vote for Paulie/Ninja. Georgia votes for Amanda/Josh. Hunter, Dee, and Wes all vote for Da’Vonne/Bear getting them sent in. Bear starts to threaten Wes and Dee, and Dee tells him to win a mission before making threats. Bear also attempts to call out somebody before talking to Da’Vonne, but Da’Vonne brings him back to talk things over. Bear wants Amanda/Josh, but Da’Vonne doesn’t want that. They decide to go for Leroy and Shaleen.

Shaleen loading the bags onto the sled.

The elimination is called Sandbag Burn and entails the competitors standing on opposite sides of the Killing Floor of their partners, each with a different color of sandbags. One partner must load sandbags onto the sled, while the other pulls it to their side. Once they pull the sled over, they must load some of the other color of sandbags onto the sled and the other partner must pull it over. The first team to unload all forty of both sandbags wins.

Bear shouting at Da’Vonne to continue.

The elimination starts, and Leroy seems to be pulling more bags at once at a slower pace than Bear. Shaleen seems to be really struggling, while Da’Vonne is moving a bit more efficiently. Bear and Leroy are neck and neck, while Da’Vonne has a slight edge on Shaleen. Bear beats Leroy by a tad and starts chirping the crowd. Georgia tells him to focus, and he gets back to work. Da’Vonne is working on the last two bags, and Wes tells Bear he would have killed him at this elimination. After the elimination, Leroy tells Bear to chill and be a better sport.

Leroy and Shaleen hugging each other.

TJ sends Leroy and Shaleen on their way, and Bear seems to have taken Leroy’s words to heart and pumps up Da’Vonne. Bear threatens the crowd again and makes his intentions on going after Wes/Dee clear.

Eliminated

Leroy/Shaleen: Not a very eventful season for these two. Leroy had a bit of drama on the way out, but not much effect will be had from them leaving.

Power Rankings

10) Amanda/Josh: We’re really cutting out the fat, as I honestly do not think they are that bad, but they are the worst of a good bunch right now.

9) Da’Vonne/Bear: They have the relic, which will keep them around for at least another week, but they are a massive target right now and are likely to be thrown in whenever they don’t have protection.

8) Jenna/Gus: Another uneventful episode. These two could have a late surge, but I’m not betting on it.

7) Kam/Cain: They have had somewhat of a disappointing season so far, and while they could shoot up late in the game it is looking unlikely at the moment.

6) Kyle/Mattie: Kyle has had an awesome season, and I don’t think anyone wants to see this pair in elimination.

5) Cara Maria/Theo: They just missed the tribunal, and with their political affiliations they should stick around for a while.

4) Nany/Turbo: Great performance by Nany, although Turbo was a tad disappointing. They also have yet to hear their name mentioned for elimination, keeping their political game strong.

3) Hunter/Georgia: Great comeback performance by Hunter in this mission, but it will be interesting to see how they play the politics moving forward.

2) Paulie/Ninja: I thought about moving them down, but Paulie did kill that mission and I don’t want to put too much stock in Ninja losing grip on a tire.

1) Wes/Dee: While the UK crew could come after them, they’ve shown enough so far to keep them at number one.

Extra Notes

· Apparently, availability calls have already started going out for season 34. Crazy for things to start so soon, but that is how the Challenge world works.
