This episode opens up right after the competitors return from the last challenge. Britni is strutting around, hoping to appear intimidating so she doesn’t have to go in again; while Nelson is getting a pep talk from LeRoy while looking much more somber than Britni. Nicole and Hunter enter the Redemption House, and Aneesa rallies the group together against the Power Alliance. Back at the house, it’s LeRoy’s birthday and CT is busy trying to make him a cake. Unfortunately for CT, softening butter by smashing it with your fist is not an effective baking method and LeRoy ends up vomiting through the night. Luckily for LeRoy, the next day ends up being spent on a boat were everyone is having a good time and no challenges are to be had. However, while the actual challengers are busy doing flips off the boat for fun, the Redemption House is plotting their redemption at the encouragement of TJ. TJ asks who each competitor is targeting when they get back, the girls all say Camila (although Marie mentions Cara Maria as well), Hunter says Jordan, and Cory says Bananas. Speaking of Bananas, Johnny is up to his usual grade school sleepover antics and gets Tori to join him in gluing feathers to Tony’s face while he is sleeping. Bananas pulled of this EXACT prank back on The Ruins when he did it to Derrick, one of his teammates at the time. Derrick was not a big fan of this and almost got into a full-on fight with Bananas, and it turns out Tony is not either. Tony awakes and pulls the feathers off, and initially seems just annoyed but you can tell more is coming. Bananas tries to blame it on the girls, but Tony is not having any of it. Tony takes Bananas’ toiletries and smashes them on the ground, and threatens to flip the bed over. Jordan, who was resting on the top bunk, hops out of bed upon hearing this. Tony then ventures out to the deck, saying he wants to kill Bananas, Bananas follows him out, they hug, and the incident reaches its end.

The next day, Jemmye has a dream of Aneesa saying she is going to return to the house. The girls aren’t too big a fan of this development, but are relieved when instead of a challenge they are taken to a crew lunch in a classy Columbian restaurant. While the actual house is enjoying the delights of Columbia, the Redemption crew enters the Redemption challenge. This challenge is called Green with Envy, and involves the cast members consuming some less than appealing foods, including a Giant Water Rat, Slimy Pork Nose, Hard Boiled Cow Eyes, Cockscombs Skewers, and a Chicken Intestine Smoothie. Each competitor has to eat a dish, then run up a mud mountain, jump into a water pit, and grab a totumo (a hollow ball) from the pit. The competitors then break the totumo. If a green emerald is found, they get to skip a dish of their choice. If it is a rock, they must eat a dish before going back up the hill. First guy and first girl to finish get back in the house. Hunter finishes his first dish and gets out to an early lead. Nicole and Cory come in behind him, with Marie essentially giving up at the start. Each competitor draws a rock, meaning no one gets to skip a dish. Hunter blazes through his second dish and is right behind Aneesa when she cracks he first totumo. Nicole and Hunter work themselves out to pretty good leads, and Hunter is able to pull a Green Emerald and is on his fifth dish. Hunter drinks the chicken intestine smoothie and wins Redemption for the guys. For the girls, Marie is still refusing to eat anything as Nicole gets to the Cow’s Eye. However, the Cow’s Eye ends up being a wall for her, as it is too big and too hard to chew. This gives Aneesa enough time to catch up and get the win. The episode ends with everyone on the phone. It’s all cheery at first, with Jemmye talking asking her friend if Siena or Beyoncé had their babies yet and Derrick asks his kid how his game went. Once Tony gets on the phone though, Alyssa (Tony’s girlfriend and baby momma) tells him she heard about him hooking up with Camila. Tony denies this, and that ends this episode of The Challenge.

Eliminated:

Nicole: Good showing from Nicole, but if she really wants to compete she’s going to need to bulk up in the offseason.

Cory: It seemed like Cory was shaping up to be the main character for this season, but he ended up not being able to hold up against stronger competitors in the show. MTV seems to really want Cory to be the next face of the franchise, but until he is able to consistently beat top tier competitors I don’t think he ever gets there.

Marie: Much improved from her Invasion season, her messy politics ended up costing her in the end and she’s still not a great athlete.

(Since nothing happened besides the Redemption and it doesn’t affect the politics too much I’m keeping mostly the same rankings.)

In Game:

18) Aneesa (REDEEMED): The power alliance girls seem fine with throwing her in every time and outside of Jemmye and Veronica she’s not a much better athlete than anyone at this point.

17) Hunter (REDEEMED): He’ll be a threat to win almost every elimination but he’s also probably going to be in a lot of them.

16) Nelson: I really like him and he’s been a physical monster so I hate to put him so low but I don’t see how he doesn’t go in every time.

15) Jemmye: Has been the worst athlete so far this season and will see how Camila’s blowup affects her.

14) Veronica (+1): The powers in the house still don’t seem to have her back which should spell the end of her soon.

13) Dario: He’s easily the first one cut from the Red Room alliance.

12) Britni: Another impressive elimination win but still has poor political standing.

11) Kailah: Physical monster but keeps getting thrown in.

10) Jenna: Has been horrible in the dailies but still has great political standing.

9) Tony: Interactions with Camila have to hurt him but seems to be valued above Dario at the very least in the alliance.

8) Camila: Came off horrible after last night’s episode so there is a very good chance she gets thrown in sooner rather than later.

7) Tori: With Camila being a terrible person and Cara Maria being her best friend there’s a chance she breaks through to become the top girl.

6) Jordan: Camila’s blowup has taken all the heat off him and in a final he’s probably co-favorites with Bananas.

5) Bananas: With the Young Bucks about gone the heat’s been taken off of him.

4) Cara Maria: Top female still but it will be interesting to see how Camila’s blowup affects her.

3) Derrick: I find it hard to see him not making the final at this point.

2) LeRoy: His calmness while Camila was screaming at him was inhuman and it should buy him safety for a couple rounds.

1) CT: I don’t see how he doesn’t make the final at this point.
